What is the Career Starter Course?

This course is designed to help participants take the first step toward a career in warehousing, logistics, or supply chain operations.

It focuses on building confidence, improving workplace readiness, and developing practical skills that can be used across a range of entry-level roles. Even if participants have some experience, the course offers a chance to refresh and strengthen their knowledge—giving them a stronger start when connecting with potential employers.

What units are included in the course?

This course includes three accredited units from the Certificate III in Supply Chain:

  • BSBWHS211 – Contribute to the health and safety of self and others
  • BSBPEF202 – Plan and apply time management
  • TLIX0013X – Work effectively in a supply chain environment

These units introduce participants to key areas of supply chain work, including time management, teamwork, and safety.

By attending each day, learners also build confidence through group interaction and practical activities—helping them become more prepared and more appealing to potential employers.

Does this course guarantee a job?

No, the course doesn’t guarantee a job. However, it helps participants build real skills and earn a Statement of Attainment, which can strengthen their resume and improve their chances when applying for work.

Do I need to attend all days?

Yes, it’s important to attend all six days of training, plus the induction and application day if required.

Each part of the course is designed to build key skills and knowledge, so missing a day means missing out on important content. Full participation helps ensure learners get the most out of the experience and are well prepared for future job opportunities.

How is the participant’s portfolio presented to employers?

We work closely with each participant to promote their portfolio through our network of employers. This process – known as reverse marketing – helps connect participants with job opportunities faster by highlighting their skills, training, and readiness to work.
