This course introduces participants to the essential skills needed to work in a medical office. From handling patient records to preparing accounts, it’s a great starting point for roles in clinics, hospitals, or specialist practices.

Learning outcomes

  • BSBMED302 Prepare and process medical accounts – Learn how to explain fees, manage referrals, and prepare medical accounts – key tasks in running a smooth and professional medical practice.
  • BSBMED303 Maintain patient records – Learn how to manage patient information safely and respectfully, following privacy and confidentiality standards.

Participants will practise their skills in a simulated medical office, using easy-to-follow guides and templates.

After completing the course, they’ll receive a nationally recognised Certificate of Attainment for each unit. These units also provide a strong foundation for further study or entry into medical administration roles.
