Learning outcomes

Throughout the course, learners will take part in hands-on activities that reflect real warehousing tasks.

They’ll learn how to manage stock, follow safety procedures, use industry equipment, and support the movement of goods from supplier to customer. The course also builds problem-solving and communication skills – essential for working in fast-paced, team-based environments.

This course suits participants who enjoy physical, hands-on work and are looking for entry points into warehousing, logistics, or supply chain operations.

Job outcomes may include:

  • Contracts administrator
  • Logistics administration officer
  • Logistics service clerk
  • Warehouse operator
  • Supply chain administrator
  • Supply chain officer

To successfully complete the course, all units and assessments must be finished. A Certificate of Competency will be issued once all requirements are met.

Learning pathway

We’ve developed a pathway that builds strong capability for warehouse administration roles. Using creative and easy-to-follow worksheets, participants will work through a range of simulated environments and complete activities designed to help them practise real workplace behaviours and performance skills.

In Semester 1, students begin learning about personal and professional practices to improve operational outputs. They then move on to developing communication skills essential when interacting with customers and internal stakeholders, that help build trust and increase motivation and team productivity.

In Semester 2, students learn how supply chain operators efficiently obtain, produce and distribute materials and products. Then they develop their skills to plan, implement and control procedures for the efficient and effective transportation and storage of goods, and to capture data from source point to consumption in order to fulfill customer needs.

What makes this course stand out is the hands-on experience. Learners get to work in a simulated business environment, where they can apply what they’ve learned and build confidence. They’ll also have access to helpful business documents, templates, and step-by-step guides for roleplay activities – everything they need to succeed.
